Teen Moods' staff is composed of both teens and young adults who volunteer their time to ensure the upkeep of our community. The staff operates under the guidance of the website and/or community administrators.

Darvell Powell, the creator of Teen Moods, is a proud citizen of the state of Ohio and a college student. Growing up in a small city, he found the growing internet to be lacking a site like Teen Moods when he himself needed it, so he took it upon himself to create it. Skilled as an engineer with strong interests in automotive, audio, and cellular/wireless technologies, he hopes to put his passions to use in improving the lives of others.

Chelsea Turner currently resides in Southern Virginia, has been struggling with depression for five years, and has aspirations to become a psychiatrist. Currently, she is in the 11th grade, loves attempting to dance to Michael Jackson hits, and is trying to raise the bar for people of all sexual orientations, people with mental illness, and people suffering with depression and self-injury.

Nightingale currently lives in England, and has been a member of Teen Moods since October 2003. She is in full-time employment and volunteers for a local cause, and also participates in fund raising for charity. Nightingale enjoys dedicating her spare time to Teen Moods, a community which has helped her immensely over the years, and loves helping people from all walks of life. Some of her other interests include, reading, writing and playing the piano.

Kat Wong has been here since November 2003. She was 13 then, and now is a 20 year old at the University of Maryland at College Park. She spent her entire teenage existence as a member of TM and still absolutely loves the place! She has had struggles with bipolar disorder, self-injury, anxiety, and eating disorders, but has recently been very well with effective medication management. At the University of Maryland, she is a biology and secondary education double degree and aspires to teach high school biology. She is also an avid fencer on the University's club team. She would really like to help others for the rest of her life, which has motivated her to enter the teaching profession. She has experienced much in her life so far, both good and absolutely terrible, and would love to be able to help anyone who needs it!

A resident of Indiana, Alex Williams has at one point in time lived in almost all the major regions of the United States, finding none of them really to his liking. As member since 2007, Alex has been getting help and helping others for years. A senior in high school, he hopes to someday make it out of his small town and struggle to make it somewhere else. He eventually wants to be a doctor, pediatrician to be precise, but until then, loves helping teens who are in the same position he has been before. When not doing homework, trying to find the right words to say or pretending he knows how to write prose, Alex likes to drink inordinate amounts of coffee, watch movies of all sorts, playing way too many videogames, and being an advocate for gay rights and health issues. He also finds cheese, books and kids to be particularly awesome.
